Sue Croft OAM is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 37 years in Women’s Health and Pelvic Health. Graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1977, Sue has dedicated nearly five decades to her profession and community. Sue’s early career included four years of general physiotherapy at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and four years in Intensive Care at the Mater Hospital. After the birth of her children, Sue tutored at the University of Queensland and developed a passion for Women’s Health through antenatal education classes at the Mater Hospital. She then worked at QE 2 Hospital, where she expanded the Women’s Health workload and introduced a gynaecological surgery education class for pre-operative patients. In 1992, Sue founded her private practice, Sue Croft Physiotherapist, which was acquired by Active Women’s Health Physiotherapy in 2024. Sue continues to contribute to Active Women’s Health Physiotherapy, mentoring the team and offering her wealth of experience.
Sue’s dedication to continuing education is essential to her practice, ensuring she provides evidence-based treatment. She regularly attends conferences, workshops, and updates her knowledge through journal articles. Sue is a respected lecturer at forums for medical professionals, allied health, physiotherapists, and the public, and contributes to professional publications on pelvic health physiotherapy. In January 2023, Sue was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for Services to Community Health as a Physiotherapist.

Professional Memberships:
Sue has published three books, written with eight continually updated editions: ‘Pelvic Floor Recovery – Physiotherapy for Gynaecological and Colorectal Surgery’ (Edition 5) and ‘Pelvic Floor Essentials’ (Edition 4) are on the recommended reading list for University of Queensland Physiotherapy Course, and the University of Melbourne and Curtain University postgraduate Physiotherapy courses. ‘Pelvic Floor Recovery’ has been translated into German and titled ‘Beckenbodenrehabilitation – Physiotherapie für die gynäkologische und kolorektale Chirurgie’.
In 2024, Sue has written an article for the O & G Magazine on the Physiotherapy Management of Pelvic Pain in Mesh Patients and contributed to the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Spring 2025 Newsletter on her career in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.
