Senior Women’s Health Physiotherapist | Medical and Cancer Care Co-Team Leader
With her thorough, gentle and honest approach to patient care, Phoebe’s patients and the student’s she teaches, benefit from the fact that she is meticulous, patient and genuine in everything she does. Phoebe is particularly committed to high quality and compassionate care of women in all stages of life. With her inquisitive nature, she has a thirst for lifelong learning through ongoing professional development and education. As part of Active’s Clinical Education team supporting final year physiotherapy students from the University of Queensland, Phoebe is able to fulfil her strong desire to mentor and share knowledge.
Phoebe’s favourite moments as a Physio are when she has the privilege of helping patients walk again or breathe more easily on their own. With her passion for women’s health physiotherapy, she sees the life-changing effects physiotherapy can have on women, for example “when we help them to regain confidence in their bladder and bowel control or help them to manage all-consuming pelvic pain disorders.”
Phoebe loves working with her knowledgeable and passionate colleagues at Active Rehab, “who always support and encourage one another to be the best professionals they can be. It’s such a special environment where I have the privilege of interacting with so many different individuals throughout my day – from the close-knit physiotherapy team and the warm and friendly hospital staff, to the diverse and inspiring patients I treat in the hospital and in our outpatient clinics.”
Phoebe loves swimming laps or ocean swimming, learning how to grow and care for her garden, multi-day hiking holidays and spending time with her young family.
Phoebe’s favourite quote:
“We can choose to conquer life or connect with it, awaken our senses, be aware of the light and the shadow, sit in our experiences and feel it all.” – Jodi Wilson
